My name is Jessica Lederman. I am a senior at Gann Academy with a longstanding interest in writing and the role it plays in how we understand and communicate with one another. I enjoy writing in all its forms, and I’m fascinated with the different ways the written word can capture ideas, perspectives, and the human experience.

I created this website to bring those different forms of writing together in one place. My work has been written for different purposes and audiences and has appeared in a variety of publications and settings, so I wanted to create a central collection that reflects the range of what I write and how my writing has developed over time.

I believe writing is one of humanity’s most important inventions. It gives us access to stories and ideas we would never have otherwise encountered, and allows every person to leave their permanent mark on the world. Writing offers a unique form of expression — a way to share our creativity and understanding in the most incredible way possible. It is a cornerstone of humanity that will never be mastered by any new technology or AI model.

I hope to continue exploring writing throughout my life. This website is a collection of that work so far.
